CopyNote Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how CopyNote handles information when you use the application.
CopyNote is designed for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. It allows users to create, save, edit, search, organize, synchronize, export, print, and copy notes and details on their own devices.
Information We Collect
Simple Apps does not collect, sell, or use personal information for advertising, analytics, profiling, or tracking.
Google sign-in is optional and is used only when the user enables Google Drive synchronization.
User Content
Users decide what information to enter. Simple Apps does not claim ownership of user-created content.
Local Storage and Encryption
CopyNote stores app data locally and encrypts saved note data using device-generated encryption keys kept in the system Keychain.
Simple Apps does not operate a server that receives or stores users' notes.
Optional Google Drive Synchronization
If enabled, CopyNote uses Google OAuth and accesses only the application's private Google Drive app-data area through the drive.appdata permission.
This permission does not provide access to the user's general Google Drive files. CopyNote data is encrypted before upload.
The Google Account email may be displayed in settings, and authentication tokens are stored in the system Keychain.
Export, PDF, and Sharing
Export, printing, and sharing occur only when initiated by the user. Simple Apps does not receive or remotely process the exported content.
Local Notifications
On supported devices, CopyNote may schedule local notifications for dates selected by the user. These are delivered by the operating system, not by a Simple Apps server.
Internet Access
Core local functions do not require internet access. Internet is used for optional synchronization and opening support or policy pages.
Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising
CopyNote does not use third-party analytics, does not track users across apps or websites, and does not display advertisements.
Children's Privacy
CopyNote does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data Security
Users remain responsible for securing their devices, accounts, backups, and exported files.
